DAKOTA COLLEGE AT BOTTINEAU – OLD MAIN RENOVATION

Situated in the heart of the DCB campus, the Old Main building was constructed in 1906. Before renovation, the building was not in use and has been vacant since 2006. Scope of work for the renovation included adapting the building for use as a center for the Allied Health Programs, which includes practical nursing, associated degree nursing, and medical assistant.

The scope of work included both exterior and interior improvements of the building. The interior was completed renovated with the flooring, ceiling tile, stairs, and framing removed. The first phase of the basement was restabilized with CMU work and excavation for the elevator pit. On the exterior, the building has been excavated down to the footings to repoint the stone foundation and prepare it for water proofing and drain tile.

New classrooms, nursing labs, and administrative areas are now in full use.
