Grand Forks Regional Water Treatment Plant
The 216,000 SF Grand Forks Regional Water Treatment Plant (GFRWTP) is intended to be capable of treating raw water from the Red and Red Lake Rivers, respectively, or a blend of both raw water sources. Raw water is intended to be delivered to the new GFRWTP through the use of the Owner’s existing Raw Water Intake Facility through dual existing 30-inch ductile iron water transmission pipelines currently used to transport finished water from the existing water treatment plant located near downtown Grand Forks to the City’s existing 7 million gallon clearwell located just west of the Grand Forks Industrial Park on the new GFRWTP site.
